Our efforts focus on supporting farmers in various horticultural and agricultural activities.

Miscellaneous work

Work includes picking various types of tomatoes and other fruits, as well as tying up tomato plants, removing excess leaves from the plants and planting new seedlings.

Much of our work is carried out in tomato greenhouses, called Greenhouses. Depending on the development of the plants, they are pruned, tied up or tomatoes are picked.

We also work in the cultivation of cucumbers, zucchini, pineapple, strawberries, grapes, herbs, etc…. both in Greenhouses and in open fields. The Greenhouses protect the crops from being burned by the intense sunlight in the Negev.

At the time of this writing, we work for 14 farmers and new farmers are regularly added to our list.

Pioneers

The Lema’ancha Foundation has been in existence since November 2023 and is still in the pioneer phase; although a lot is already running smoothly and much has already been arranged and Lema’ancha is becoming more widely known, not everything is yet completely clear. This requires some degree of flexibility from us as leaders but also from our volunteers.
